Client’s Vision

Nicholeen Peck is a parenting expert and author who has created content and taught worldwide for over two decades. She and her team wanted to provide subscribers with several enhancements and stability improvements to their mobile application. A major new feature, the Job Jar, would enable parents to quickly assign random, timed chores to a child, appropriate for the situation and their level of development.

Our Approach

Developers at Guru Technologies fixed bugs and firmly connected services through multiple levels to give users a seamless experience, and enable Nicholeen’s subscribers to easily browse vast areas of content.

Backend Overhaul: We refactored the app’s core code and optimized database queries, which cut content loading times by over 70%.

API Integration: We rebuilt the connections between the app and its various services (like content delivery and user authentication) to create a single, seamless data flow, eradicating common crashes and errors.

Systematic Bug Fixes: We addressed the entire backlog of known bugs, leading to a more reliable and frustration-free experience for all subscribers.

While developers worked on solidifying and enhancing the back end, Guru’s designers worked with Nicholeen to give the app a fresh new look and a Job Jar interface that (almost) makes chores fun!

A Meaningful Impact

The launch of the redesigned TSG app was a tremendous success. The improvements in stability and the introduction of the Job Jar received immediate and enthusiastic praise from the user community.
